The UP? Upper Purgatory? Utter Pandemonium?

Yes, cropping out the building wall, it could be a surreal dreamscape with those those shadowy white structures and strange circular object in the distance. Not sure what that is.

I like the first picture~if you crop out the building it turns into a fascinating dreamscape.

Hi Mererid! I'm glad you like my photos. I don't have as many nice ones as you do. But yes, the snow is lovely to look at but not so lovely to move around in! We have a steep roof and haven't shoveled the snow off, hoping that we'll be OK. Keeping the drive clear would be practically impossible for us if we didn't have our trusty snow-thrower. Our son Nat (or nash as he calls himself) fixed the snow-thrower before the big storms came, and that has saved us! He just happened to be up here on the right weekend. Today is a cold one, about 12 on Fahrenheit scale, or about -11C.

Looks absolutely beautiful - real Christmas card stuff. I love looking at your photos.
Yes, I love looking at them, but I certainly wouldn't like living with all that snow! The work required to keep your roof safe and your drive cleared must be phenomenal!
Be safe and warm.

Hi Barbara,
That sounds like nice crisp weather alright, almost cold in fact, but at least the sun's out where you are. Yes, we're able to do our errands but the driving can be treacherous at times.
Take care, and you have a great day -- that'll be tomorrow for you, your being perhaps six hours ahead of us here.
Mardé

Yes, the snow is beautiful, Annette, but it's cold and hard -- a three or four inch layer of icy stuff on top but not enough to support my weight. Our basements will be threatened with water this year, although we've never had any yet -- in about eight years. Good luck in the coming spring. Spring? What's that?

Hi Marde,
Sure is beautiful!!! We have lots of ice, but not as much snow. Ended up with 4 inches of water in the basement, but that is gone today.

That's right, Joe, the god's should give you time to survive the night and finish shoveling the roof in the morning. Good to take a rest.
