Thanks for your comment, Phyllis V. Yes, it is a sad state of affairs that the truly concerned are deemed radicals. Jesus was a good example.

That is very provocative thinking. I agree with Danielle, that those who are truly concerned are deemed radicals.

Yes, and let's just hope the change isn't forced upon us too quickly..... but maybe that's the only way.

So many people feel the same way - and I'm not talking only of the US now - but the pessimist in me can't believe in change in the foreseeable future. One day, maybe.

Yes, Danielle, it is sad that good people are tainted as radical, but why should that be a bad word? The word "liberal", too, has come to have a derisive meaning in America, thanks to the right wing, but Eric Alterman's new book, Why We're Liberals: A Political Handbook for Post-Bush America is a big step forward in the effort to set the record straight. Maybe a similar book could be written for the word "radical"?

Also, in my list, i.e., Paul, Kucinich, Gravel, I should have added Ralph Nader because I'm sure he'd like to pull all the troops back from foreign lands and cut back the Military-Industrial complex, if not remove it altogether. But alas, there's not much chance that any of these people will get into power soon. However, it's true that they can help sway public opinion. But there's a loooong way to go, probably not in my lifetime...

Woo Hoo a radical! The name sounds familiar I have to look it up.

It is sad however that those of us that believe that all resources should be expended wisely from the benefit of today AND tomorrow must bear the badge of radical.

In light and love
