OK, we’re heading for Fort Lauderdale in Florida on Wednesday, staying overnight in Portland tomorrow. So, I’ll be checking in only occasionally for the next two weeks. We expect to return March 12. Not sure how the weather will be on Wednesday. We might have to spend the day at the Portland Jet Port. That’s OK, I’ve got some books to finish, like Dawkins’ The God Delusion, and I’ve started to read a book on meditation, Wherever You Go, There You Are: Mindfulness Meditation in Everyday Life by Jon Kabat-Zinn.

Yes, we’re looking forward to actually seeing green grass again for a couple weeks and maybe even balmy temperatures. But who knows what we’ll come back to in mid-March. A mud season? More mountains of snow? Anyway, it’ll be a change. Thanks for your comment. Take care over there in beautiful France.

No need to be tough in Florida…Make sure to leave the toughness in Maine.
Enjoy!

Thanks for your greetings, Danielle, nk, Aileni, and nash. I’m here in Ranchos Davies, horse country, just outside Fort Lauderdale, using our hosts computer. It promises to hit 80 today. Wowey! This place boards several horses, and I’ve got a few photos but I’ll have to wait til I get home, March 12, to post them.

Thanks, Missy. Yes, it was a good change but I’m happy to be back to our snowbergs and ice, home territory and habits; it’s hard to teach this old dog new tricks. ha ha The Florida we visited was beautifully warm but a bit too fast and hectic from my perspective. ha ha
Oh, I’ve dumped the 78 photos I took onto Flickr. See my right sidebar under MY FLICKR.

Hi Oneeeeeeeeeee,
Glad to hear you are safely back in your Denmark nest!
I haven’t looked at all your pictures yet - just the one with a cat. Did you ride any of the horses while you were there? Sounds nice and warm anyway.
I’m here in Underhill at present. Will be playing the organ at the service tomorrow so I must practise….
By the way, my e-mail is changing to llandamvt@verizon.net. The old one still works but will be removed eventually.
Cheers from VT,

Hey, twoooooooooooooeetie, thanks for your comment! You haven’t commented here for quite a while. Glad to see you here again.
No, I didn’t ride any horse at all, just took pictures of them. The last horse I rode was probably in the late 1930’s, a plodding work horse with my father holding the reigns. But it was pleasantly, and blessedly, warm there in the Fort Lauderdale area.
Good luck with your organ practice, following in your mother’s footsteps, or should I say, pedalsteps.
Cheers from East Denmark,
Oneeeeeeeeeee
