Sounds like you had quite a few of them in Hawaii. The poor animals do suffer. What awful creatures those ticks are, you can't kill them, just flush them. "Ticks don't just bite; they suck!" When we first moved here to this corner of Maine I picked up a dog tick that spring, and I didn't realize what it was at first until my face started swelling (Sorry for the rocky horror show!). I just thought I had something stuck in my hair until I pulled it out and saw it wriggling in the toilet bowl. YUCK! I had to go to the hospital and the doc gave me a regime of antibiotics. Maybe I'll post the picture of me then, if I can find it. It was the year 2000. Great topic of conversation, huh? :lol: Chris: Guess what? I had to look up that word too.
