Stopping Madness?

Probably not possible to stop the madness in this country. But somehow it does have to be stopped.

Get this: IRAN IS Not A Threat but Cheney, Republican Senators (most), FOX News, and Republican Presidential Candidates ARE THREATS. The so-called facts they parrot in this video are false, false, false, and will lead to world disaster:

Sorry for more unhappy war stuff on this blog, but it’s necessary. We are being pushed around by fools and warmongers, with emphasis on the latter, as can be seen in the above video. The fools scoffed at the truth spoken by ELBaradei, head of the U.N. atomic watchdog agency, before, in the case of Iraq, and the same fools are scoffing at him now in the case of Iran.

Take a look at ELBaradei’s report on Iran: ElBaradei: There is Time to Solve Iranian Nuke Crisis.

And here’s Scott Ritter, another guy who’s been scoffed at by the fools and warmongers, with emphasis on the latter, but has been proven right over and over again:

So, is it possible to stop the madness?

Hi Marde – so refreshing to hear from the US someone who is saying this about Iran. I wrote to my MP (Member of Parliament) earlier this year about the same thing and received a bog standard reply encouraging me to be fearful of Iran.

Your use of the word “warmongering” says it all – it’s all about inducing a state of fear into people when peacemongering would be more effective as a long term, sane policy. Ranting over. Have a nice day. Joyce :-)

Hi Joyce — Thanks for your ranting  and yes, it would be great if the US did peacemongering instead of warmongering. It’s great you wrote a letter to your MP, too, but not great that you got that bog standard reply. It makes one depressed about leadership in our so-called democracies. 😥 But let’s have a nice day, anyway! Thanks for your comment.

    Hi, Marde,
I would just like to say that I regret your country’s loss of face in the world almost as much as you. I always hesitate to sound off about affairs American from this side of the pond – but we are all affected in varying degrees.
The Iran situation is desperate yet not one Western government is making it clear that any form of strike by the US or Israel is out of the question.
How, oh how, could you all be taken in by that man ?
    Aileni.

Hi Aileni, and thanks for your comment. I’m glad you also regret our country’s loss of face in the world. And yes! How could so many of us be taken in by that man? He still has an approval rating in this country between 25% and 35%, depending on the poll and the month. That’s a lot of people! But at least 65% to 75% don’t approve of him.

Barack Obama has a great interview today in the New York Times. He would be great as president, I think, but what are his chances realistically? He’d be very lucky even to get nominated.

That’s a very interesting story about your novel, Cennad’s Path, on your website. I started to read it yesterday.
