Here’s what got me started on Warren Zevon: “You can dream the American Dream, but you sleep with the lights on and wake up with a scream.”
Way to go, Warren!
aaHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

How wonderful to hear this song. I remember him on the David Letterman Show and perhaps saw his last performance there as I think he died shortly after. He sang a song about not being there, Keep Me in Your Heart for Awhile, voice showed his illness but brought tears to ALL. Gram

Hey there Mard,
I was born quite awhile after the Great Depression, but I don’t know Zevon ! Although while reading his bio, I probably listened to some of his compositions for other artists.
That is sad about his cancer
Those cancers due to exposure to asbestos can be really mean. We had a neighbor who died of this. Thanks for sharing this; it was some great music for a Sunday morning !
Take care. -
Hey Dad you’ll have to come over and listen to my Warren Zevon record “Excitable Boy.” I’ve listened to it two times in a row. It’s that good.
