Ban Handguns? Yikes!

Not a chance! Not a chance! Especially in Maine where the gun is a way of life. But handguns? I have yet to see a hunter with one and I’ve been living in Maine for all of seven years. (“Ha Ha!”, laughs the Mainer.)

Ah, but it’s the first step on the road to banning all guns — and, more importantly, to putting the National Rifle Association out of business. No, it’s not! Handguns can be banned and rifles, above 30 inches in length, say, not banned. See this interesting blog for a specific proposal. Well, the NRA is agin any bans, period, exclamation mark!

And the NRA together with the Republicans and the Bush administration rule the roost.

Hey, don’t the dems control both branches of Congress now? Well, they wouldn’t for long if they proposed banning handguns.

How many decades will have to pass in America before the handgun will have gone the way of the DoDo bird, like in England?

“How many decades will have to pass in America before the handgun will have gone the way of the DoDo bird, like in England?”

Not in our lifetimes, unfortunatly. It sure would be interesting to live in a world without guns, any gun.. If only men (as men seem to be the ones who obsess over these phallic killing tools) had never invented the gun.

Even if that poor mentally ill man who killed all those innocent people at V.Tech hadn’t had any guns, I suppose he would have found an other way to kill and hurt people.. The guns, however, and the easy access to them, make it just a little too
convienent to live out any evil fantasies.

Well, I better get going. 😕

Yes, guns make it a little too convenient for the deranged to activate their evil fantasies.

Lt. Col. Bob Bateman, a veteran of several years in Iraq, wants handguns prohibited in America, and he’s pretty passionate about it. Just read this!
