First Snow Shoeing of the Season

Yup, I slapped the snow shoes on this afternoon and took a circuit of the land this side of the road. We got about 3 or 4 inches of the light fluffy stuff last night, so on top of what we already have that might be almost 8 inches in all. And I think I saw a *pine track! That was down on the lower path that runs parallel to New Road. It was coming out of some lower brush and made a beeline for a large hemlock tree. I looked up into the tree but couldn’t spot a *pine. (After all, it’s a hemlock, not a pine…. :-))

* pine == porcupine

    I see lots of deer tracks in the back from my window.

    Yes, we’ve got em too — deer tracks. I put my camera out again today over by the well. There were a bunch of deer tracks around there last night. We’ll see if they come back, if the camera doesn’t freeze. :-(

    Looks like it didn’t freeze!
    You should add that deer pic to your flickre site!
